  • Reason
    The non-sterile power module is inserted into the sterile hand piece and then secured and locked by the sterile lid to maintain sterility of the device. synthes received one complaint stated, that power module (05.001.202) came out of the trs recon hand piece (05.001.240) as the lid (05.001.241) opened up. the locking mechanism of the lid did loosen which resulted in an unintended release of the power module during one surgical procedure in june 2012.
